I went shopping this weekend to try to find a new winter jacket. My current ones are so big and really don't fit close enough to my body to keep me as warm as I'd like to be. I mean, sure, I can wear them, but they really are too big. So off I went this weekend to find one, but really couldn't find one I liked at all or the ones I did like were a bit more than my budget would allow. I'm thinking I really don't want to spend a ton because by next winter it probably will be too big if I continue losing weight the way I am now...which is my plan!
So as I was walking out of TJMaxx bummed because I couldn't find a jacket I spotted this cute number hanging on the end of a clearance rack. Not with similar tops, but just hanging on an end of a rack almost like someone had changed their mind on it and just hung it at the end of a rack. It called out to me....really it did! I looked at it, put it back and then grabbed it again. How could I not buy it? It reminds me so much of the flower embellishments that two of my favorite scrapbook manufacturers make and I just love the color! AND...it was ONLY $5.00!! SCORE!!!!!
I so needed a non-scale victory this week; been struggling a bit with my food choices. I haven't felt my best; seem a bit sluggish and been dealing with some back muscle pain/spasms since Saturday. When I get like this and not feeling top-notch, I don't pay the best attention to the choices I make with my food plan and then I beat myself up about that which makes me spiral to munching on stuff I shouldn't don't want to be putting in my mouth. So I have really been trying to remind myself how far I've come; how many accomplishments I've made over these past 8 months; how awesome it feels when I try on new clothes and can buy things in smaller sizes. I'm a clearance rack-type of gal; especially now that I'm going down in sizes and need to update my wardrobe every couple of months. To find this top on the clearance rack for $5.00 made me extremely happy. And to top it off not far from this top was a pair of jeans in the brand and style that I wear for a lot cheaper than I buy them for at Kohl's. They were in a size smaller than I'm currently in, but for the price I just had to pick them up because I knew someday soon I'd fit into them. Today, a snow day, I decided to wear jeans to work and I thought, what the heck, I'm going to try on those jeans. They fit! Not only did they fit, they were comfortable, not tight at all. Another size lower.....WOOHOO! I have worn jeans in this brand and style in four different sizes now since April and I've saved all the tags so I can scrap them. It's so awesome to see I've gone down three sizes since April. This was just the non-scale victory I needed today! SCORE!!!
