Cucumbers and making the right choices.......

I love cucumbers!  I
really do.  Love their crisp cool
texture.  Love that they are such a sign
of summer for me.  I love fresh cucumbers
with tomato and rice wine vinegar.  There
is just something about it that screams “summer”.  A couple of days ago as I was cutting up a
cucumber for a salad I saw this little heart there, where the seeds are.  How cute is that?  I think cucumbers love me too.  Obviously being the photographer that I am, I
just had to snap a photo. 

I’ve been trying really hard lately at making better choices
about my food and what I eat.  Trying
really hard to lose some weight and feel better, healthier, than I have felt in
a while.  I really needed to get back to
a place in my mind that allowed me to make these better choices.  I was there years ago, in a place where I was
making all the right choices about a lot of areas in my life, including food
and exercise.  I’ve been trying to get
back to that place in my head to allow me to make the right choices again, to
feel in control of who I am and where I want to be in my life.  So I’m getting there, choice by choice, and
feeling good that my clothes are fitting better, that I feel better climbing a
flight of stairs, feeling good that I’m “almost” to a point where I want to
lace up those sneakers again and get out to do a daily walk.  I used to crave those walks years ago.  What the heck happened?  Well it’s coming back….I’m feeling it…..and
will be heading out soon to do those daily walks.  Cannot wait until I get to the point where I
crave them again.  It was such a GREAT
feeling and I’m getting back there….choice by choice. 

Have a great day everyone….I know I will.  It’s my Friday…I’m off Thursday through
Monday, not returning to work until Tuesday, and I cannot wait for some free
time.  I LOVE my new job, but I really
need this time off for me.   Going to see
Toy Story with my niece on Thursday, scrapbooking with a friend on Friday,
scrapbooking with my monthly group on Saturday, not sure of plans for Sunday
yet, but I’m looking forward to planning something fun!
